In Memoriam: Klaus Dittrich (20 November 2007)
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Klaus Dittrich,
Professor of Computer Science at the University of Zürich. His
colleagues in the Zürich Database Technology Research Group have
released the following statement: ``It is with great sorrow that we
need to inform you that our friend and colleague, Klaus R. Dittrich,
has died of a stroke this past Tuesday. We will keep Klaus in our
memories as a good friend and colleague, as a caring and engaged group
head and advisor, and as an outstanding database researcher. He leaves
a void that will be difficult to fill.''
