The SIGMOD 2026 Edgar F. Codd Innovations Award goes to H. V. Jagadish (University of Michigan) for establishing usability as a first-class design principle in data management, and for pioneering the research agenda that redefined how humans interact with data systems.
The SIGMOD 2026 Contributions Award goes to Divyakant Agrawal (University of California Santa Barbara) for his transformative leadership of SIGMOD, modernizing its publication and conference models, and expanding its global reach.
The 2026 ACM SIGMOD Test-of-Time Award goes to “The Snowflake Elastic Data Warehouse” by Benoit Dageville, Thierry Cruanes, Marcin Zukowski, Vadim Antonov, Artin Avanes, Jon Bock, Jonathan Claybaugh, Daniel Engovatov, Martin Hentschel, Jiansheng Huang, Allison W. Lee, Ashish Motivala, Abdul Q. Munir, Steven Pelley, Peter Povinec, Greg Rahn, Spyridon Triantafyllis, and Phillipp Unterbrunner, for its profound influence on the research community and industry, shaping the design of modern cloud data systems and driving innovations adopted by millions of users.
The awards were presented at SIGMOD/PODS 2026 in Bengaluru, India.
