This logo, designed by Jun Yang of Stanford University, was the winning entry in a contest for a new SIGMOD logo held in 1998.
Using the SIGMOD logo
You may use the ACM SIGMOD logo on:
- your personal, academically oriented web page, hosted by your institution;
- the website and publicity of an event sponsored by SIGMOD, co-sponsored by SIGMOD, or held in cooperation with SIGMOD. Use it only once the approval is confirmed, or add “(pending)” next to it until then.
When you use it:
- Use one of the official files below, and do not modify it in any way: no recolouring, stretching, cropping or added text.
- Link the logo to www.sigmod.org.
Any other use needs explicit permission from one of the SIGMOD officers (Chair, Vice-Chair or Treasurer).

The GIFs are transparent and anti-aliased for a white background, so they may look rough on dark backgrounds.
